The green zip board coating serves as a water resistive barrier behind the siding. All joints are taped with a proprietary sealing tape to prevent water intrusion and provide an air tight thermal envelope.

Concrete pilings set and ready to build on. Concrete pilings are roughly twice the price of wood pilings and provide more rigidity to the structures above which become more important as the building gets taller and catches more wind, particularly where there are no wind breaks between buildings such as on the water. In this case we're completely exposed to winds from the south and west on a 4 story building. The wood pilings are for additional support under the swimming pool.
