Jen, Ty, & I checking the electrical devise locations in the kitchen and marking up the plans. This is a very important part of our build process. We check the location of every electrical outlet, light, wire, plumbing fixture, drains, hurricane clips, and more. We compare everything to the plans, not any differences, and make adjustments as needed. Then we take as-built photos of everything so we can find anything we need to after the walls are covered up.

The green coated zip board provides superior moisture resistance to all types of conventional house wrap. All joints are sealed with zip tape to provide an air tight thermal envelope.
Screeding the garage slab.
Garage slab has to be cut into 5' x 5' segments so that the slab will break away from the pilings without damaging them in the event it is undermined during a storm surge. The slab is sacrificed to save the pilings.
Framers running the cornice. The green coated zip board is a secondary water resistive barrier and drain plane designed to drain away any water intrusion that gets behind the siding. All the joints are taped off to complete the barrier. We run the zip board horizontally and block and nail all joints to eliminate any dips and waves in the wall sheathing. You can't see theses minor imperfections until you install the siding but by then it's too late. All the extra blocking adds significant strength to the walls.
